Please excuse me while I go ram my head on a desk repeatedly. Maybe it will help me stop caring about the difference of the terms “antisocial” and “asocial”.
I don’t know that many people know the difference or that there’s a better word than “antisocial”? Because normally when I decide not to have a social life my parents accuse me of being “antisocial” and not “asocial”.
Unfortunately, they are both used the same colloquially, but asocial means avoiding society, whereas antisocial means that you are hostile to society. It’s just something that really irritates me.
