So, in South Florida, we have a car dealership called Maroone (Honda, Chevy, Nissan etc) and for the past ten years or so they have used the same jingle. No, I think jingle is a wrong word. Basically they raped the ghostbusters theme song. As I have grown up in this great state that can’t vote properly, I have heard this song so many times that I can only recall the lyrics to the Maroone dealership and have no idea what the original ghostbusters lyrics are anymore.
WHEN YOU NEED A CAR, TRUCK OR VAN
WHO YOU GONNA CALL!?
MAROONE!
FOR THE LOWEST PRICE (alternated with “yes we can” or “in the land”)
MAROONE!
Anyway my question is, are there any songs/ jingles in anyone else’s states that have destroyed original songs or are just horrible earworms that make you wish you were dead?
Bonus: YouTube the miami-dade county fair theme song.
If your ears still aren’t bleeding, look up “Santa’s Enchanted Forest”.
